Prof. (Dr.) Kanchan Bala is working as Professor & Dean at Raffles Law School. She has over 37 years of experience in teaching, administration, strategic planning, admissions, and educational planning in the field of law. She holds a Ph.D, LL.M, from jai Narayan Vayas University, Jodhpur, Rajasthan. She has successfully guided 20 scholars for Ph.D. including one for Post-Doctoral Fellowship if ICSSR.
As a Dean, she is responsible for overseeing the academics, admissions, administrative operations, curriculum development, faculty development, student affairs, and quality assurance of the law school.
She is passionate about achieving academic and administrative excellence in legal education and fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and diversity. She has a special interest in judicial reform, speedy justice, and legal writing. She is a distinguished member of several professional associations and has published multiple books and articles on various legal topics.
